Let the Right One In/Morse

(Morse)

Admitedly not a English title to start with but the translation from Swedish (Låt den rätte komma in) to English was good (Yes, I'm fluent in Swedish too).
"Eli is 12 years old. She's been 12 for over 200 years and, she just moved in next door."
The title refers to the (well known) vampire rule that states that vampires can only enter a house after having been invited (see Stephen King's Salem's Lot or excellent True Blood for more details).

Oskar is also a lonely 12 year old who is bullied and befriends vampire Eli. He obviously doesn't know she's a vampire at first... And as they slowly fall in love, they use morse code to communicate, tapping on the common wall of their flats at night.
Hence the French title, Morse.
If I went to the cinema and had the choice between seeing something called "Let the Right One In" and something called "Morse" without knowing what the films are about, which one would I pick?
Let the Right One In would make me think of something scary, maybe a slasher movie of some sort. Morse? Some sort of a police/army/submarine stuff film... Maybe. (Wasn't there an Orange advert where the guy wanted to use morse code and was asked to use text instead? The Val Kilmer one perhaps? Anyway...)
The French title, though referring to something quite relevant in the film, loses completely the threatening note of the original title/novel. So the film probably missed a big chunk of the target audience. Too bad.
