Before watching the film, I thought it would be a silly blood bath, with silly dialogues, a sort of Viking Clash of the Titans, which also stars the lovely Mads Mikkelsen.
How wrong was I: it was beautifully shot, with minimal effects. The use of colours was fantastic and the landscapes beautiful.
I liked that the dialogue was sparse, and the kid's accent (There is nothing greater than a Scot saying "I don't know") and that the silence made up for short brief really violent moments.
Days later, I am still thinking about this film and I would love to watch it again.
That is why it is getting a Yay, and that it is infinitely superior to any Viking films I have ever seen.
And it stars the lovely Mads Mikkelsen.
