News Round-up 27 January 2012

A few bits and pieces this week...

- Gay actors say coming out affects the roles they are offered. Who is surprised?
- Mickey Rourke is still going to play Gareth Thomas. And I still can’t believe it.
- Diane Kruger to play in the Host. At first I thought it was a remake of the awesome Korean flick, but realised it’s the adaptation of the novel. Wonder how they will call it?
- Talking about novels, one of my favourite books of all time is now available with illustrations. It’s The Handmaid’s Tale, by Margaret Atwood. It is totally relevant since there was a (not so great) film adaptation.
- They play Quidditch at Oxford University. I guess they are not afraid of looking like fools.
- Will Bret McKenzie's Muppet song win an Oscar? I hope so, the man is funny!
- Stephen Spielberg is going to remake the Ten Commandments - more or less.
- Some legal trouble around The Crow remake.
- An interactive guide to European stereotypes.
- And apparently, 2012 will be the year of the Snow Whites...

And the funny movie related of the week goes to...
