News Round-up 11 July 2012
A few bits and pieces from the past week:
- A visitor's guide to Scotland designed for Japanese.
- I really am not into celebrity gossip, but this piece of Tom and Katie made me laugh.
- The rise of the "Warrior Princess", aka stronger female characters.
- Another article on remakes - with Spiderman out now and Total Recall coming out in a bit. Lots of funny comments, but this one "Colin Farrell seems like the most snake bitten of good actors- Alexander, Daredevil, SWAT, Miami Vice- the guy must have killed an albatross or something..." particularly made me giggle.
- The Dark Knight has to catch up with the Avengers.
- The Inbetweeners will be remade in the US as a film, and perhaps a series too.
- The Women on the Sixth Floor is out in the UK apparently. This review isn't great but I really liked that film, I thought it was funny and charming, and if you want a giggle, you should check it out.
- You remember Raging Bull 2? From last week? Well it's being sued already.
- France's bearded feminists.
