Today, I Discovered a New Word
The news don't matter much.
What I find interesting in this article is that word I had never seen before: pourriel, which is, from what I understand, the French equivalent of spam, or junk mail.
It is the (I think) clever blending of courriel - French for email, which stands for courrier electronique (as email does for electronic mail) and pourri, which means rotten, or spoilt.
Fascinating stuff.
