News Round-up 6 June 2015
I spent most of the week in a meeting room in Canary Wharf. Canary Wharf is weird. It’s also a pain to get to. Some colleagues and I were coming back from the restaurant to our hotel on Wednesday night and as walked under the big buildings, I started having The National’s wonderful “Mistaken for Strangers” playing in my head. It has been there since.
I had to have a proper catch up with the news of the past week this morning, so here is what I found interesting.
- Ron Perlman would like a third Hellboy. And so would I.
- Emily Blunt potentially in the adaptation of Girl On The Train.
- Idris Elba in
anythingthe adaptation of The Alchemist. - Chris Nolan explains the end of Inception.
- Fantastic Four reboot will star Michael B Jordan (who was wonderful in Fruitvale Station) and, unsurprisingly, some people are annoyed.
- More criticism of Cameron Crowe’s cast for Aloha.
- No Tron sequel? That’s gotta be a good thing, right?
- If you haven’t played Uncharted and own a PS4, you HAVE to. These are brilliant games and the series will be out in October.
- Keith Stuart on “the solitude of open-world games when the story is over”. Interesting read, as always.
That's all, folks!
