Update (30 June 2015): I went to see Mr Holmes last night and it was really good. The filmography is beautiful and McKellen is his usual wonderful self.
I particularly like Mark Kermode's review of the film, but I probably would agree with Peter Bradshaw's grading more. Definitely worth a watch.
